Cultural Beauty of Kwara State
The lovely people of Kwara State include all the ethnicities of Nigeria: Yorubas, Nupes, Hausas, Igbos, Fulanis, Bororos, and others.
Each of these groups bring their own linguistic and cultural contributions to Kwaran society. Moreover, they all share common unifying elements, such as appreciation of education and technology, proficiency with agriculture and various city professions, and the religions of Nigeria.
Also uniting all residents of Kwara is a love of art. Mastery of creative craft and expression is nothing new in this region. Even 2,500 years ago, the people of the Nok culture were working with iron and making world class sculpture and other works.
Nigeria has over 500 languages, but many of these have no traditional association with the area within Kwara State. However, because of the movement of people, speakers of dozens of these languages can now be found in Kwara. English, the official language, helps unite society and facilitates daily interactions.
