Business Daily released an article today showcasing that the total member deposits have grown in the last year by 11%, from Sh690 billion to Sh766 billion.
At Kwara we believe cooperatives are the fair and most aligned savings institutions in Kenya and these numbers show the growing fate of members. With a foundation that is built on member interests, cooperatives are showing us what can be done together.
However, growing deposits also means growing responsibility and in our view, we see efficient technology infrastructure and better transparency as the way forward. With new regulation soon to come, we expect to play a key role in making SACCOs future-proof, in Kenya and beyond.
