The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) has elected a new president for the Africa region. In a story published by the Leadership News, Oriyomi Ayeola, who is current president of Cooperative Federation of Nigeria (CFN) was elected to take over from Mr Japhet Magomere, who has been in office since 2018.

Kwara takes this time to congratulate Mr Ayeaola. The cooperative world looks up to you to provide steady leadership that will steer the cooperative sector to reach more milestones.

Prior to his election, Ayeola was a board member of the ICA. As the president of Cooperative Federation of Nigeria, Ayeola contributed to the development of cooperatives by creating a solid agriculture value chain for agricultural cooperatives. Other elected officers were Mr George Magutu as vice president and Ms Hilda Ojall as women representative.
